Audition Expectations
Here again, the auditionee is given an opportunity to review the expectations as defined by the director. They may contain important instructions for completing the audition form.
Time Slots
Optional by default, a director may - at their discretion - require a selection or choose not to offer time slots at all.
When available, auditionees should only select one time slot unless instructed to select more by the director via the audition expectations.
Role Preferences
Responses here are merely preferences - not all directors will make casting decisions based on actor preferences, but here is an opportunity to capture their wishes.
These fields are optional by default by the director may - at their discretion - require a response or hide them entirely.
Any Role
A performer may indicate that they are willing to accept any role by checking this box. They are still allowed enter a preferred role, in case there is a particular role of interest to them.
Preferred Roles
This freeform text input gives auditionees the freedom to list roles they want and/or provide any context for accepting a role, such as only wanting the lead if cast opposite their spouse.
Unwanted Roles
This freeform text input gives auditionees the freedom to list roles they do NOT want and/or provide some condition by which they may accept an otherwise undesirable role.
Additional Information
This freeform text input gives directors the versatility to capture uncommon information that may not be explicitly covered in other sections of the audition form.
This field is visible by default but does not require an answer. It cannot be marked as required or hidden by the director.
Custom Questions
The director may write their own questions, and also may require that auditionees respond.
There could be two types of questions, and auditionees should make sure they read the instructions thoroughly to ensure in order to give an accurate response.
- Yes or No questions should be easily understood as a yes or no response. If there is any ambiguity, try using the additional information input to explain your answer.
- Short Answer questions will require some input if the director has indicated that a response is required.
