Cast98 stores profile information for operational purposes only. User information is never sold to third parties, used publicly (such as in advertising campaigns) without written consent from the user.
This privacy policy exists to protect your identifiable information from being publicly searchable.
All the information on your profile is private by default including identifiable data such as your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, emergency contact info, headshot, resume, city/state/country, and social media links. Only when you submit an audition form or change your profile's privacy settings is information shared in specific ways.
Cast lists are public once published by a director, so your name (if you used your real one) may appear publicly on any show for which you've auditioned.
The cast and crew of a show can see each other's name, email address, headshot, and bio. They can also see on the rehearsal schedule when fellow cast members have conflicts.
Phone numbers for crew are also shared among cast and crew.
Your profile is only publicly searchable when you make it so via the privacy settings. You may, alternatively, set your profile to be findable by casting directors on the talent database without making it public. In either case, shared info may include your name, date of birth, demographics, city/state/country.
When you submit an audition form on Cast98, you are agreeing to share identifiable information from your profile with the director(s) of the show.
A show director may have multiple co-directors, and Cast98 does not moderate or endorse anyone who is given director-level access. Each show manager is able to view all profile information including your name, date of birth, social media and contact info, emergency contact info, biographical info, headshot and resume.
Contact the host studio of a show if you have questions about who will have director-level access.
As the saying goes, anything on the Internet never disappears. If you are in a life situation where you need to keep your identity private, please refrain from using your real name on your audition profile(s). Stage names are common in the performance industry, and completely allowed on Cast98.
Cast98 is not responsible for anyone being findable. The nature of the acting industry is such that getting discovered means having your information readily accessible to producers and casting directors. I try to foster an active networking environment while maintaining a safe space for the young actors using Cast98, so be smart about your information and make sure you're taking steps to protect your own privacy, not just on Cast98 but everywhere else too.
Your billing information is private to only you. It is not stored by Cast98. In fact, it doesn't even pass through our servers. It's totally your information and I will never try to store it, steal it, or sell it.
Cast98 is not responsible for any fraudulent charges on your card because again, I don't store your information on our servers. The payment gateway is powered by Stripe, so please visit stripe.com to learn about their privacy policy.
Information about you or your business will never be sold to third-party websites.
Information about your activity on Cast98 is not saved in a log of any kind, and is only tracked via anonymous, aggregate analytics in an effort to identify trends and resolve problems. I never look at any single user's activity except when conducting tech support, but I do look at aggregate analytics related to areas of the website visited most frequently in order to inform decisions about current and future features.
Please send a message if you have any questions or concerns about these terms and conditions.
