Step-By-Step Instructions
Create your user account on Cast98
Your individual user account is free and private to you. Enter a valid email address and secure password to create your account. These will become your login credentials. Keep them safe and do not share them with anybody but yourself.
If the studio provided an invitation link for you, use it! Cast98 is a public community and registering through an invitation will automatically connect you to the studio so their upcoming shows appear on your Backstage Dashboard whenever you login.
Without an invitation link, you can still create your account and follow the studio later on.
Find and open the show's main page
If you used the studio's invitation link to create your account, you should see the show directly on your Backstage Dashboard. That's the first screen you'll always see when you log into Cast98.
If you DID NOT use an invitation link, you can find a list of upcoming shows on Cast98. They are listed in chronological order by opening night, so you should be able to find the one you want with ease.
Click or touch the show to open the show's main page.
Find and touch the green audition button
A green button labeled "Audition Now" exists in the About The Production section and in the Auditions section. Wherever you find a green button on the main show page, touching it will take you to the show's audition form.
Complete all four steps of the audition form
On step one, acknowledge the disclosures and select a talent profile to use for your audition. If you just created your account, there should only be one talent profile to choose. You can optionally add additional talent profiles later, so if you have children in the show you can manage each one from your master user account.
On step two, fill in your profile information and past experience/training. Some fields are required and others are optional, and this might vary from show to show at the director's discretion.
On step three, fill out your conflict calendar. Mark any known conflicts explicitly on the calendar and use the General Notes area if you have any tentative conflicts, such as a soccer schedule that has not yet been released or a mandatory work trip with currently unknown travel dates.
On step four, select an audition time and any role preferences, and answer any remaining questions the director might have added here.
By filling out the audition form, this studio will automatically be added to your favorites so their upcoming shows will appear on your Backstage Dashboard.
Submit your audition form
Some people get to step four and neglect to click/touch the big green button labeled "Submit". It's at the bottom of step four of the audition form, and your audition form cannot be seen by the director(s) until submitted!
