Show Title
Give your production a name.
💡 Pro Tip: Fight the urge to put a year in your show title, a la "Spring Musical 2025". Everywhere the title appears, the date will too, and so it is redundant.
Poster Image
Upload an image from your computer or mobile device. A poster-sized image works best, with a dimensional ratio like 11x17 - just like the concert posters you see in your local pub or restaurant.
Only image file types will be accepted, such as .jpg or .png. File size limit is 10MB.
Production Description
This information informs patrons about what to expect if they decide to attend or audition for your show.
💡 Pro Tip: Resist the urge to post a synopsis of the show here unless it is original or hard to find with an online search. A better use of this space is to discuss how your production will take shape, such as the version details, expected cast size, or creative ensemble composition. Don't overthink it - if you want to provide a synopsis, provide a link to one that already exists on an official source like Wikipedia or MTI.
Tickets URL
Provide a website URL where patrons can purchase tickets. Make sure you test the URL in a private/incognito browser window to ensure it's publicly accessible.
Your public show listing on Cast98 will rank very well in search results when anyone is looking up your show, so it is extremely helpful to patrons if you provide a link to the box office.
Performance Dates
The date of your opening night is required. Add additional showtimes as needed if you have more than one performance.
If your show is touring, you are also able to name the venue for each performance.
Starting Point
By selecting a starting point when you post a show, the system configures some settings automatically to fast track you to the most relevant tools for your Cast98 experience. It also adjusts labels on some tools to be more relevant, such as avoiding the word "audition" if your intent is not to manage auditions. The starting point can be changed later but hopefully will not be.
For example, if the starting point is Capture Conflicts or Schedule Rehearsals, the system assumes auditions are finished already so instead of buttons that might normally say Sign up to audition, they will say something like Submit conflicts when/if the audition form is published.
To deep dive into the settings affected by starting point, read the help guide entitled Choosing The Right Starting Point.
