Importing Inventory

As of writing this documentation, the inventory management tool supports two categories of inventory: props and costumes. If there's another category you'd like to track, please contact support with a feature request.

Importing Inventory Using a CSV

Import your inventory from a CSV file. The CSV must be formatted correctly to be imported successfully. You can download the template and fill it out with your inventory data.

These columns are required:

  • The title column should contain a short, basic text reference for the item

These columns are optional:

  • The notes column can contain a longer text description, though brevity is still advised
  • The shows column should contain any show titles separated by backslashes (e.g. Aladdin/Beauty and the Beast/Frozen, Jr.).
  • The type column should contain the type of item (e.g., prop, costume, etc.).
  • The location column should contain the location of the item (e.g., storage bin #27, Closet 2 Rack 13, Storage Unit 142, etc.).
  • The image column should contain a URL to an image file. An image file URL will end in .jpg, .jpeg, or .png
  • The color column should contain a very short bit of text
  • The size column should contain a very short bit of text

All other columns of data will be preserved in a display-only state as more info. Feel free to submit a feature request for adding new headers.

This is a living document and will be updated frequently while the inventory tool is in beta.
