The Springfield Muni Opera
As you begin planning your summer, we hope you consider joining our team as we take Springfield back to 1940's Argentina. Below, we have included information and resources available to navigate auditions with Muni.
Evita charts the young and ambitious Eva Perón’s meteoric rise to sainthood. Set in Argentina between 1934-1952, the Tony-winning musical follows Eva Duarte on her journey from poor illegitimate child to ambitious actress to, as wife of military leader-turned-president Juan Perón, the most powerful woman in Latin America, before her death from cancer at age 33.
Muni auditions begin in March with Adult sessions being held the first two weekends, immediately followed by Children sessions over the third weekend. More information can be found at www.themuni.org or by attending a Muni Audition Workshop.
Join the staffs from all four shows to hear their vision for each production this summer. Hear about the Muni audition process, what you can do to prepare, and ask your questions about characters and songs.
