About EtcTheatreCo

The Company was founded by eight seasoned practitioners hoping to bring lovers of theatre together in order to collaborate on major projects. The team members, many with professional credentials, will share their plans for productions spanning various genres at Arts Central, Norfolk House, Milton Keynes on September 24.

Chairman Shirley Jones said: “Milton Keynes is such a vibrant new town with a constantly expanding pool of artistic talent. Etc Theatre Company hopes to pull together not only those who want to act, sing and dance but also people who are creative in behind the scenes roles too.”

The group will be kicking off with a couple of large-scale household name productions interwoven with a variety of challenging smaller offerings.

Secretary John Drinkwater added: “Over the years to come we’d like to build a collaborative theatrical experience that provides opportunities for personal growth, stretches individuals and gives them a chance to work across the artistic disciplines where pertinent”.

Formatting Cheatsheet

Bold & Italics

You can make text italics or make text bold by surrounding it with underscores or double asterisks.

    _italicized text_
    **bold text**

Lists + Paragraphs

Create a bullet list by simply beginning each line with a hyphen (aka "dash") and a space. Numbered lists are similar: begin each line with a digit, dot (aka "period"), and space. Here they are working in tandem with paragraphs:

I've been doing musical theatre for a long time. Here's some of my favorite roles:

    - "Laurie" in _Little Women_, 2015
    - "Chad" in _High School Musical_, 2010
    - "Jimmy" in _Thoroughly Modern Millie_, 2007

Notice that sweet empty line after my list, and also after each paragraph? They are important, as you will see in a moment.

    1. I will eat all your green M&M's.
    2. I never practice at home.
    3. Kissing scenes are the best.

Leave an Empty Line

After every paragraph and list (but NOT after each list item), press Enter twice. An empty line tells Markdown you're starting a new paragraph or list.

Hyperlinks

The text you want to be clickable (like this) is wrapped in square brackets, while the full web address, including the http:// is wrapped in parentheses. There is no space between the closing square bracket and the opening parenthesis, like so:

[text to show](http://google.com)
